First DIY construction

So I Ben and I are doing great. We had our first overnight guest last weekend. Mom and Dad Warden came to visit from Austin. We went to the park and out to eat on Friday. Sharron and I spent Saturday shopping and arranging the furniture she brought. Ben and Dayton spent the day digging a spot out from behind the garage to install Hank's new dog kennel.

We wanted to redo the rotten siding before we attached a semi-permanent structure to the garage. So, Sunday was spent with Ben and I hanging hardy-board siding onto the back side of our garage. We still need to lay rock, and build the composite board deck that the kennel will sit on. I am also in charge of building or buying a dog house.

Hank has discovered earth worms. He has eaten quite a few earth worms over the last few weeks. At least they have a lot of protein.

We are very excited about the way it turned out. We still have to paint it.

School is going pretty good. I'm swamped with work. I feel like I'm never going to catch up. I have 50 first of year benchmark test to grade as well as 50 writing samples. I still don't have my room the way I like it, and we have open house tomorrow from 5:30 -6:30 pm. I guess I'll be staying late again! I have a great class. I am confident that as soon as I get my schedule organized and through a few weeks of instruction to learn the curriculum, I'm going to have a great year.
