November

It has been a while since my last post. The weather has been rainy. A few tornadoes came through Shreveport Thursday night. Ben has been working a lot, and I have been still trying to get caught up at school. I've decided that I will never be caught up, so I am going to quit worrying about reaching that goal. I am just going to work as hard as I can without being overwhelmed. Haloween came and went, so now it's November.I guess this means the holiday's are just around the corner.

My 28 year old cousin in Nebraska died on Monday morning in a hit and run car accident. I was unable to attend the funeral because it was scheduled in the middle of the week, and airlines think $1300 is a reasonable amount to charge for a ticket from LA to NE. I am still, of course, in shock over this news.

Ben and I carved pumpkins Friday night. That was fun! We made a hank-o-lantern and an LSU tiger and a long horn. We had more trick-or-treaters than expected too.

I don't know if I posted the great news about my parents and aunt and uncle coming in from GA to help Ben and I rewire our house. Well it was a successful couple of days. We now live in a house with 2009 wiring throughout. And hank got to play with his cousin Teddy for days on end. They had a great time.

I made this video for my class, they love Hank. So I thought I would see if I could get it posted.

My goals for November:
1. start my "Christmas Around the World" project with the class.
2. power wash and seal our deck.
3.find furniture for our living room
4. Plan and carry out a camping trip

I am happy today because the weather is Superb. I have already walked Hank and now, after my blogging I am going to go play in my garden.
