Trip To Austin
Ben had a ground water conference in Austin last week. So we got a vacation without taking any vacation days. We drove Monday night and stayed with his parents the whole week. We drove home the following Monday.
On Wednesday Evelyn and I drove down to Austin and meet up with some good friends of ours. Tiffany took us to Deep Eddy and a downtown pizza place Mancini's. Deep Eddy is the oldest swimming hole in Austin. It is made from natural spring water. We had a great day swimming and relaxing. We then were treated to great food at their house.

the zero depth area was great for her to explore
That night poor Evelyn got very ill. 104 fever . She was not a happy camper. I ended up taking her to a quick care facility. Like I suspected she had a virus that had to pass its course. No prescribed medication needed. Just love, rest and Tylenol. Ben and I left her with her grandparents and went to San Marcos to celebrate our Cousins birthday. We came home late and all was well. Thank you Granny and Granddad.
During her not so greatest moments we also found time to visit the Mckinna museum in New Braunfels. I didn't get many pictures because she didn't get out of my arms much . She really liked the baby dolls and the telephones. No surprise from her mother.
Then our little family attended the Oatmeal Festival in Bertram, Texas.
We had fun watching daddy play in the washer tournament and the egg toss competition. We watched the parade and watched her granddad play some music. There were booths of stuff to buy, cow patty kicking, oatmeal box stacking, and crappy food. A good time once again!
Redneck baby?
Between all the activities we had a nice visit with the Warden grandparents. Evelyn loved the chickens and the twice a day ride to put them up and let them out of their coupe. Her cousin Emma and her played very well together. Swimming, art, and baths. Evelyn painted her very first picture. :) Mommy was so proud.
Great quality time and memories were made.
of course we must taste the paint
I love this picture, actually both top and bottom here
She looks like an old man.
kisses!!!
