B is for Backyard

A few things have changed around our house.

Evelyn loves to be outside. This is not really new, but the walking has added a completely new twist to outside time. Thankfully she does enjoy this activity because as it turns out her father, her dog, and I also appreciate the outdoors. She walks to the front door and knocks/screams at me when she wants to swing or walk around the block. She goes to the back door and repeats the above if she wants to go out that direction. The weather has been so very pleasant that we spend most of every day out one door or the other. Pajamas are not a reason to stay in. Now that she is so good at walking she loves to explore. She gathers things, she digs, she plays peek a boo, she climbs, sometimes she just daydreams while sitting very still.

I also enjoy the break. When we're in the house she requires a lot more "entertaining". Her new favorite is books. Not that I am complaining, I am happy to see the interest but it is ALWAYS ... "ehhhhh... ehhhh..". (as she hands me one or three books)

LOVES to sit and think on the grill.
Climbed on poor Hank for the first time. He was a good sport of course.

Sometimes her feet still trip her up. :-) this one makes me laugh.

 practicing a little swing.

 Park time
 Duck pond

She will be 14 months old next week. I can not believe that. I also have 96 days until D-day for baby boy. C-section scheduled for Monday January 7th. 2013. We are pretty sure on his name. William Dayton Warden. We will call him Dayton. These names would come directly from both his grandfathers, which is something Ben and I feel strongly about. LOVE family names.

Her CDO program is going well. We have both stopped crying at drop off. Her teachers are fantastic. She does not nap well at school, so that is really my only concern. I do enjoy my break. I know I will enjoy it even more in January once baby comes.

wanting to go out

Going out to the ally. She says come on mom lets go.

saying "hi" to the dog in the bricks
 "woof woof"
drinking the water off the lid because Hank did it.  :)

 Walking around the block
 helping Hank tree a squirrel

 Eating her treasures

Every step is a new journey.

Sorry for the picture overload.

Backyard indeed! The whole world is her backyard. I'm glad you let her explore to her heart's content. Thanks for sharing.
